Dems continue their fascist nonsense about Trump
...
In a fiery interview over the weekend, Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) likened President-elect Donald Trump to infamous dictators Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, drawing sharp criticism from political commentators and Republican leaders.
Clyburn made the remarks during a conversation with Neil Cavuto on Fox News’ Cavuto Live on Saturday. Discussing the nation’s political shift to the Right in the recent elections, Clyburn reflected on historical patterns of ideological swings in the United States.
“We go from left to right in this country,” he stated. “We go from right back left in this country. And I always say, well whether the pendulum is going from left to right or right to left, it always passes through the middle.”
He expressed concern over what he perceives as a dramatic political lurch:
“Now, the country has gone lurching back to the right. I hope it’s not going as far right as that which happened in Germany in the 1930s. But you may remember I forewarned way back in 2018 that I saw this coming. I’ve studied history all of my life.”
When Cavuto pressed him for clarification, asking if he was “envisioning another Hitler,” Clyburn left no ambiguity in his response.
“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Clyburn declared. “I said the 1930s in Germany. And of course, we go to Mussolini in Italy.”
Clyburn doubled down, insisting that his comparisons were not exaggerated, prompting immediate backlash from Republican voices.
Republican strategist Steve Guest criticized Clyburn’s statements on X, accusing Democrats of incendiary rhetoric.
“Democrats are rhetorical arsonists who don’t care about the consequences of their rhetoric,” Guest wrote. He pointed to the assassination attempts Trump has faced as evidence of the dangerous consequences such comments could have. “Clyburn’s comments this morning only add fuel to the fire.”

Clyburn's comments are absurd. Trump started no wars and has not been incarcerating or killing Jews for being Jews. He even has Jewish grandchildren. He clearly had a better economy than Biden and there were no wars in Europe and the Middle East when Trump was president. If Democrats hope to become more competitive they need to stop these nonsensical allegations against Trump and focus on real issues that voters find to be important.
