Biden-Harris and the Chicoms

... the Kamala Harris campaign has been caught in an illegal quid-pro-quo campaign scheme.

In late 2022, the Biden-Harris administration allocated a significant subsidy to BYD Americas, a company with ties to China, under the Clean School Bus program. Specifically, BYD Americas received $395,000 in October 2022, as revealed by documents from the Environmental Protection Agency.

Just about a year later, on November 14, 2023, Ke Li, the president of BYD Americas, contributed tens of thousands of dollars to support President Joe Biden’s reelection efforts. Notably, these funds were later redirected to Vice President Kamala Harris after Biden exited the race, as indicated by campaign finance disclosures.

The Biden-Harris administration has positioned its electric vehicle initiatives as essential for revitalizing American manufacturing while also addressing the rising economic influence of China. However, a closer look suggests that many of these subsidies may inadvertently benefit Chinese firms, with taxpayer dollars flowing to companies like BYD.

Li’s financial support included a notable $33,400 donation to the Biden Victory Fund, which has since been rebranded as the Harris Victory Fund. Additionally, she made two contributions of $3,300 each to the Biden campaign, now the Harris campaign, all on the same day.

BYD, the parent company of BYD Americas, is also linked to China’s Belt and Road Initiative, a broad infrastructure project aimed at enhancing China’s global influence, as noted by the Council on Foreign Relations. Additionally, the company benefits from subsidies provided by the Chinese government.

It is hard to believe that anyone would think these people have the best interests of the US at heart.  What was the EPA thinking when it went along with these expenditures?  The donations to Biden and Harris suggest China believes they are more supportive of the Chicoms.

Also, the belief that EVs are the future of US transportation is questionable.  There continues to be a limited market for EVs that is shrinking.
