A trump rally in a city full of Democrats

 DC Daily Journal:

Tucker Carlson was a prominent guest on the speaker list for the New York City Trump rally, and he did not pull any punches whatsoever with his time. He spent time on the stage to put the Washington, D.C. political class in the figurative bullseye and call them out for their rigging of the system.

The former Fox News host expressed unwavering confidence in the former president’s prospects for the 2024 election. Speaking to a packed Madison Square Garden, filled with thousands of supporters, Carlson declared that Trump would emerge victorious in less than ten days.

The rally, held in a city typically dominated by Democrat career politicians, featured a lineup of prominent Republican figures, including businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, Florida Rep. Byron Donalds, and former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. Carlson took to the stage to address the crowd, highlighting the significance of Trump’s presence in New York.

“… That’s Donald Trump, back in the city that produced him with no embarrassment at all in a room full of his friends. The stones that takes, the bravery that takes is incredible. Donald Trump’s gonna win. He’s gonna win. I know that that’s true,” Carlson stated, exuding confidence.

He further critiqued the Democratic Party, asserting that its members are panicked and confused about Trump’s appeal. “The people he’s about to defeat have no idea and they’re panicked,” he said, adding that the Democrats have mischaracterized Trump supporters, suggesting their narrative paints half the country as “evil.”

Carlson elaborated on Trump’s popularity, citing two key factors: the former president’s genuine “affection” for his supporters and the sense of “liberation” he has fostered among them. He argued that this liberation has enabled voters to see through the “lies” propagated by Democrats, particularly what he referred to as their greatest deception — the belief that they are impressive and deserving of power.

“But the big lie, you know what the big lie is? The big lie is that they’re impressive. That’s what the big lie is. That the people in charge have somehow earned the right to rule over you and they haven’t. And you know that,” Carlson declared. He criticized prominent figures like Liz Cheney and Kamala Harris, questioning their qualifications and the fairness of the political system that elevates them.

I think there are several big lies when it comes to the Democrats' response to Trump.  Rather than making political attacks on the issues that interest voters, they have tried to criminalize Trump and attack his supporters.  The Democrats seem to have no answer for the fact that when Trump was president, inflation was under control and the world was more peaceful.  I get the impression that many voters now regret putting the Biden-Harris regime in office.
