Trump leads in swing states outside the margin of error

 National Review:

With less than a year to go before Election Day, former president Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in head-to-head matchups in all seven major swing states.

A newly released Morning Consult poll shows Trump maintaining a strong lead over Biden in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and North Carolina. Trump’s lead over Biden in Georgia (6 points) and North Carolina (9 points) is outside the margin of error, while his lead in the other five states is within the margin of error and ranges anywhere from 2 to 4 points.

The former president bested Biden by 5 points in all swing states combined, well outside the margin of error.

Though Biden retains a hold on Generation Z voters, 44 percent of whom would vote for Biden today compared to Trump’s 38 percent, his overall support is faltering after nearly three years in the White House. Much of the discontent appears to stem from Biden’s failure to live up to his promises on student-loan forgiveness, with 43 percent of Gen Z voters saying he has not done enough to address student loans, compared to just 27 percent of all respondents.

Student loan forgiveness should be coming from the colleges and universities that overcharged the students, to begin with.  It looks like they did not get their money's worth from those schools if the debt is more than they can service.  Smart people already recognize what a disaster Biden has been for the US economy and for world peace.

Some Democrats wish the worst for former President Donald Trump, even though his presidency successfully created prosperity for the nation’s citizens.

Before the Chinese coronavirus came to the U.S., the Trump administration built the world’s most prosperous economy, according to White House archives:

  • America gained 7 million new jobs – more than three times government experts’ projections.
  • Incomes rose in every single metro area in the United States for the first time in nearly three decades.
  • Unemployment for women hit its lowest rate in nearly 70 years.
  • The DOW closed above 20,000 for the first time in 2017 and topped 30,000 in 2020.
  • Jobless claims hit a nearly 50-year low.
  • Lifted nearly seven million people off of food stamps.

Despite the accomplishments, many Democrats hold Trump in contempt.

According to a Rasmussen poll on Wednesday, about 20 percent of Democrats want Donald Trump in prison for life, executed, or exiled if he is convicted for allegedly overturning the 2020 election:

  • 72 percent of Democrats believe Trump is guilty of crimes in the case
  • 12 percent of Democrats say he should get life in prison if found guilty
  • 4 percent of Democrats want him to be exiled
  • 2 percent of Democrats are in favor of the death penalty

The poll sampled 1,085 voters from November 30-December 6 with a 3 point margin of error.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
