Democrats war against West Virginia

 Clarice Feldman:

...

Senator Chuck Schumer, in particular, I think, has made a tremendous error in targeting Manchin. The Democratic playbook is getting shopworn. Apart from screaming meemies attacking him in public, the Democrats obviously got the AFL-CIO leadership to pressure the UMWA president Cecil E. Roberts to urge Manchin to “revisit “ his decision to block BBB. He contends, “The United Mine Workers and Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) have a long and friendly relationship. We remain grateful for his hard work to preserve the pensions and health care of our retirees across the nation, including thousands in West Virginia. He has been at our side as we have worked to preserve coal miners’ jobs in a changing energy marketplace, and we appreciate that very much.”

It's not the first time UMWA President Roberts was played for a patsy. Remember that they promised him that if Barack Obama was elected president he really didn’t mean what he said when he pledged to shut down the coal industry. Obama was elected and he did just what he promised to do, at the cost of jobs to miners in West Virginia. What’s that expression about “fool me twice, shame’s on me”?

In any event, the most recent poll I saw of West Virginia voters shows Biden’s disapproval rating in West Virginia -- 77% -- is the highest in the nation

I doubt the Democrats’ attacks on Manchin will change that one bit.

The Democrats are pushing businesses to participate in its war on fossil fuels and there is an apparent pushback by several states that provide American energy.  The left is all about trying to kill a major industry that the country relies on for transportation, electricity, and national defense and all they have to offer instead are crappy solar panels and wind turbines.  California has already demonstrated that their alternatives are unreliable.
