Business not distracted by tariff fight--End game is seen as free trade

NY Times:

U.S. Business Leaders Are ‘Bullish’ Amid Worldwide Instability

Private-sector optimism is widespread, with risks from tariffs, deficits and global tensions outweighed by profit-plumping tax cuts and deregulation.
The economy is strong and people who are paying attention know Trump's tariff gambit is designed to level the playing field for US companies with its trading partners.  He is forcing the countries with high tariff's on US goods to consider dropping their tariffs and having true free trade with the US.  He has already gotten such agreements from Japan and South Korea.  Europe would be wise to get on board.

The media should be talking more about the trade barriers in Europe and China than Trump's tariffs.  If they really cared about US workers, that would be their focus.
