Democrats bitterly cling to health care fiasco

NY Times:
Republicans want the entire law repealed and most of them will not take part in even routine tweaks, and Democrats fear reopening a politically charged debate as midterm elections near.
Voters want the law repealed by an ever increasing majority.  It is one of the most despised laws in history.  Democrats have this vain hope that it will at least be accepted, but so far that is not happening.  There is nothing really good about the law.  All of the supposedly good things are driving up costs significantly, because the mandates aren't really free.

The program should be scraped and replaced with health saving accounts supplemented with catastrophic insurance with a large deductible.
