The predictable bad faith arguments from the left about a GOP Supreme Court nominee

Kimberley Ross:
As the clock struck 9:00 p.m. EST on Monday night, and the president walked to the podium, the wailing began.

In the end, President Trump chose Judge Brett Kavanaugh, and not “extreme” Judge Amy Barrett, to be his nominee for the Supreme Court. But this matters little to those on the other side of the aisle who were set to writhe about no matter what.

Justices who are left-leaning are fair and noble. Educated and measured. Ready to uphold the constitution. They are legal gods who walk among us. That’s what they say.

Whenever a Supreme Court nominee is chosen by a Republican president, though, the reaction is quite different. Not only is there some sort of hidden agenda, but they are known to be sexual harassers (Clarence Thomas), professionally inexperienced members of a cult (Amy Barrett), or lovers of assault weapons and proponents of forced birth who are on a mission to steal all of your contraception (Brett Kavanaugh).

On the surface, it may sound like I’m exaggerating the claims against their sharp legal minds, but you know I’m not.

Since President Trump assumed office, the United States has supposedly been a dystopian nightmare. Women’s rights (read: vacuuming babies out of wombs) are under fire. Females are being oppressed at an alarming rate or some such nonsense. It’s all so last season, so tiring, and so predictable. But it will continue. That is the way of modern-day feminism.
...
Based on no evidence whatsoever, liberal opponents are claiming that Kavanaugh will do away with contraception.  In fact, there is some rather glaring evidence to the contrary.   Kavanaugh has been married for a dozen or so years and he and his wife have two, count'em, lovely daughters, but that is all.  Not to delve into his private life, but I expect this married couple probably did it more than twice.  All this Hand Maiden stuff is just left wing garbage used as a scare tactic to delude young women.
