Waxman's Jessica Lynch spin
The so called heroic Jessica Lynch story did not come from Centcom. It was in a Washington Post story based on intercepts of Iraqi communications. Waxman has trotted her out under false pretenses.
The media is having another run of false memories about the incident and since she was not available or present when the briefing took place she would have no way of knowing what was said.
My link on the Washington Post story no longer works. The story is probably in their archive. The Pentagon denied the allegations of misrepresentation when they were first raised by the BBC.
Power Line reports that the so called cover up on Tillman's friendly fire incident was uncovered by the military which reported it to his family in a matter of weeks after his death. It appears that his brother is an anti war zealot who is milking his brothers death for political purposes.
Waxman should be ashamed, but the man is incapable of having any.
