With the latest slew of polling data, CNN’s poll of polls gives Trump a near-70 percent chance of winning the 2024 election:

What’s glaring is the underperformance by Kamala Harris among core Democratic voter groups. She’s woefully underwater with union voters, projected to be the worst performing Democrat in a generation. She’s grossly underperforming among black and Jewish voters, too. Is she doing better than Biden in some crosstabs? Sure, but having a pulse isn’t a high benchmark.

If Trump wins this way look for Democrats to try to do away with the Electoral College. It's interesting that the race is this close because Harris is a terrible candidate. She appears to be getting votes mainly because of Democrat loyalty and not the merits. I think at best she would be as bad a president as Biden who has the Democrat machine doing most of the heavy lifting. Trump was a far better president. The economy was better, inflation was controlled, and the world was more peaceful.

Trump has made concerted attempts to win over Hispanic and black voters, traditionally Democratic constituencies, though his 2020 results with those groups only slightly improved upon his 2016 tallies.
