Biden puts college men at risk of injustice

 Washington Examiner:

Signed into law by President Richard Nixon, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 sensibly banned discrimination on the basis of sex in all federally funded education programs. Only an administration as radical as that of President Joe Biden could manage to change such a simple anti-discrimination provision into an attack on due process, freedom of speech, and women’s sports.

But on the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX, Biden’s Department of Education did exactly that. It issued new regulations that will fundamentally change the rights of the accused on college campuses. It is also trying to change how children as young as 5 years old are allowed to speak and who is allowed to participate in women’s sports.

Women already outnumber men on college campuses by a 3-2 ratio. They graduate at an even more disproportionate rate. These regulations will make it even harder for men to survive on college campuses by removing all due process protections for them when they are accused of sexual assault.

Under Biden’s new regulations, once a man is accused of sexual assault, a single school-appointed bureaucrat will act as his judge, jury, and executioner. These unchecked prosecutors will be empowered to investigate claims, interview witnesses, and determine guilt or innocence, all without even informing the accused that an investigation is going on. Under Biden’s kangaroo courts, accused men will have no right to counsel or any ability to cross-examine their accusers.

Students of both sexes will be equally at the mercy of Biden’s new sexual harassment regulations, which now make it an offense for any student, no matter how young, to refer to a person using a pronoun that person does not like. A young girl who thinks her teacher looks like a man and calls him a “him” will now be liable for suspension if that teacher demands to be called a "her." No exception is allowed for students who believe in science — that is, in biological differences between the sexes.

“These rules will go in place for children as young as kindergarten,” Moms for American Values founder Tyler Ohta said. “To hold little children culpable, responsible, for someone else's personal decision, compelling their speech at such a young age. It's a very dangerous path that we're going down, and we need to defend our free speech and our religious beliefs."

Finally, in perhaps the greatest insult to the spirit and text of the original Title IX, Biden’s new regulations redefine “sex” to include “gender identity” in a manner that allows biological men to invade women’s restrooms, locker rooms, and athletic venues. No longer will women’s sports belong to women. Under Biden’s new regime, those with male genitalia will be allowed in all previously safe, women-only spaces. Women will also be forced to compete with biological men who, on average, are significantly taller, faster, and stronger than they are.
...

Biden is pandering to the radical feminist on campus.  I think it is very likely that this rule is unconstitutional and should be challenged in court.
