Pelosi's bad faith January 6 charade

Of course, there are already multiple investigations going on into the riot, in particular, that by the FBI.

But Pelosi wants to have a Committee by which she can flagellate the Republicans, make false accusations against them and talk about how bad they are as we go into the 2022 elections. It’s sad and gross, but that’s what this is about, not truth.

If Pelosi thinks she’s putting anything over on Americans, she might want to read the new Rasmussen poll.

Rasmussen asked the following question, among others:

According to a study of 68 cities by the Major Cities Chiefs Association, in the summer of 2020, there were at least 574 protests that involved acts of violence, including assaults on police officers, looting and arson. More than 2,000 police officers sustained injuries in the line of duty. Should congress investigate the 2020 violent protests that occurred in these cities?

66% said yes, they should, 21% said no and 13% said they weren’t sure. By comparison, only 49% said they supported Pelosi’s investigatory Committee. So two-thirds want the BLM/Antifa investigated for the full year of rioting, killing, and assaulting people, far more than support Pelosi’s investigation.

People across political parties and minorities were in support of a BLM/Antifa investigation.

Rasmussen’s analysis said, “Sixty-seven percent of whites, 64% of black voters, 66% of Hispanics and 62% of other minorities think Congress should investigate the 2020 riots in U.S. cities. Seventy-five percent of Republicans, 60% of Democrats and 63% of voters not affiliated with either major party say Congress should investigate last year’s violent protests.”

In the report, the National Police Association said that the failure hold people accountable was harmful.

The Pelosi move is just another political hit job untethered to the facts.  She and other Democrats have already been caught lying about the event and the FBI cases to date have demonstrated how she exaggerated the events of that day.  That Democrat prosecutors have not brought to trial the real pre-election riot that was sponsored and supported by the Democrats who literally bailed out the perps also tells you what a political hit job this is.

I mean, they normalized anarchy! So, when you normalize rioting and looting, and then when the same rioters and looters who attacked police (chuckles), destroyed small businesses, hurt innocent civilians, and then Democrats did what? Raise money to bail ’em out of jail! It’s kind of tough to say, “By the way, we need more of you (cops and National Guard) here on January 6,” after a whole year of doing that.
