How Fox News lost a significant part of its audience

 Washington Post:

The Post spoke with 15 avid cable news watchers who are part of a dramatic uptick in the upstart's audience in the weeks since the election.

They mainly lost viewers because of their election night coverage.  They have long used a pollster with a history of getting the election results wrong.  Fox made a major mistake putting this guy on their decision desk to influence calls of states.  He had a conflict of interest in trying to support his polling instead of looking at the actual results.

The Fox coverage looked like a betrayal of their audience.  Newsmax got some news eyes on their work and people liked what they saw.  Greg Kelly has attracted a much larger audience and is outpolling Fox in his time slot.
