Bloomberg's bucks don't buy him much attention in Texas

Over the weekend, I saw a ton of "Bloomberg for president" TV ads.  They were good and probably very expensive.
On the ground in Texas, Mr. Bloomberg got off to an unimpressive start.  In fact, 45 people showed up to hear the New Yorker, according to news reports:
Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg claims he is ready to spend more than $1 billion in an effort to oust President Trump, but money may not be bringing supporters to his campaign.
Just 45 people showed up to Bloomberg's latest rally with TV star Judge Judy Sheindlin in Texas on Saturday, according to the New York Post.
"Unlike everyone else in this race, I think what's important is beating Donald Trump," Bloomberg told the sparse crowd of fewer than 50 people in San Antonio.
Bloomberg, 77, has eschewed tradition by entering the race late, forgoing attempts to make the debate stage, spending big out of his personal account, and focusing on the later states in an attempt to gain the 2020 nomination.
To be fair, maybe they will come later.  Or maybe everyone down in San Antonio was caught up in the Texans-Chiefs game.
Who knows for sure?  The bottom line is that money is not buying much of a following.

H has no chance of changing the minds of Trump voters.  His policies on energy are a loser in Texas.  He would join the other Democrats in making economic warfare on Texas.  All that money he is spending would not make up for the loss to the Texas economy from his energy policies.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
