Where are the stories about the Turkish, Iranian and Iraqi occupation of Kurdish land?

NY Times:

92% of Kurds Back Independence; Iraq May Send Troops

Airlines based in Egypt and Lebanon suspended flights to and from the autonomous Kurdish region, following a similar move by Iran.
The Kurds, like the Israelis, have an ancestral claim to the real estate they occupy.  One of the European screw-ups after the defeat of the Turkish empire in World War I was to draw lines in teh sand that put the Kurds in artificial countries.  It has been a cause of constant friction ever since.  The Kurds have been a big help in the defeat of ISIS and they deserve their independence.

Their claim to their own state makes more sense than that of the Palestinians who occupied Israel's ancestral homeland.
