Trump lavishes attention on Colorado, which backed Cruz

Republicans make up only a third of the state's electorate, so the GOP nominee not only has to win over conservatives, he has to widen his base.
Trump has a lot of ground to make up in Colorado where polls have shown him trailing.  It is going to take more than an anti-Hillary pitch to turn things around.  He is going to have to earn their votes and he has shown little aptitude for such exercises.
