The march of the Iranian bigots

Iran managed to hold its annual anti-Israel Quds Day rallies this year in relative peace, as the opposition stayed away from the streets. Thousands of hard-line supporters of the Iranian government flocked to the streets of the capital Tehran and elsewhere in the country to denounce Israel, and to demand that Jews leave the Middle East. The numbers were a far cry from the rallies in past years that attracted millions, a good indicator of the government’s waning popularity.

This is a good example of what a bigot really is. He marches to demand "that Jews leave the Middle East." This is not a march about building a new 13 story synagogue in downtown Tehran. It is a march about building anything within Israel. This is from the same government that thinks the Ground Zero mosque should be built.

It points out the absurdity of branding US citizens bigots because they object to the location of a mosque near the site of the worse mass murder for Allah attack in US history. Those objecting to the mosque are not saying you can't build one, in fact they are saying you can somewhere else. They are not saying that Muslims have to leave the US. If liberals can't understand the distinction then they are not really trying.

The Democrat surrender monkeys

Don Surber: ... The Democratic Party victory is seen as a victory for the opponents of democracy in the Middle East in general and Iraq in particular. I am not blaming Democrats. I blame the 31 million Americans who have given up after less than 4 years. They may not eat cheese, but they are surrender monkeys. That half of them supported the war when it began is sickening.
