Democrats avoid the issues, go for politics of personal destruction
From the NY Times:
Democrats are trying to personalize the races to avoid running on the record they have created in this Congress. I suspect they will only make the voters angrier with them. This may turn a bad election for Democrats into a rout. BTW, this type of politics did not deny the nomination to Christine O'Donnell.
One of the Democrats' problems is that many voters are so disgusted with them, they don't care what Democrats say about their opponents. People who are going to vote against Democrats are not going to pass up that opportunity because of a negative ad. Most of them can't wait for the polls to open.
