States should divest investments in companies run by woke CEOs

Jill Homan: The CEOs of many corporations seem to have confused themselves for lawmakers rather than businessmen. “Woke” CEOs have decided to wage war on proposed and enacted policies of conservative states instead of focusing on the fiduciary responsibilities to their company and serving the interests of their shareholders. While woke CEOs have threatened — and followed through — to pull jobs and investments out of states that do not follow the liberal policies they support, Republican leaders, responding to these woke CEOs, have been inconsistent and unsure how to respond. Former President Trump suggested boycotting these companies while other Republican leaders have been hesitant to respond out of deference to these companies because the employees and local communities — who have little say over what the woke CEO says — will suffer consequences. But there is a course of action yet to be considered for those facing the ire, and hypocrisy, of woke CEOs. State treasurers and state...

Republicans reject Biden's irresponsible budget

Breitbart: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) blasted the Biden administration’s budget released Friday, contending the proposal will “drown American families in debt, deficits, and inflation.” “Now we know why the Administration tried to bury their budget announcement on the Friday before a holiday weekend,” the Kentucky Republican  said  in a Friday statement following the release of Biden’s budget, explaining it would have a negative impact on American families by drowning them “debt, deficits, and inflation.” “Even after the massive tax hikes Democrats want to force on the American people, they’d still have the government running trillion-plus-dollar deficits every year,” McConnell stated.... ... “Democrats want to borrow and spend on a scale that America has not seen since we had to fight and win World War II. Our debt burden would break all records, eclipsing even the 1940s,” he continued, asserting Americans are “already hurting from far-left economics ...

Taking off masks a good incentive to get vaccine

Hot Air: Data: Yes, people really did become more interested in vaccination when the CDC announced vaxxed people could unmask This is something I have argued since before the vaccines were made generally available.  I think it was a mistake to keep the mask mandate once the vaccines were available.

Another bogus UN investigation of Israel for defending itself against Hamas war crimes

Legal Insurrection: Hamas Cheers as UN Rights Body Approves Open-Ended Probe Against Israel   UNHRC voted overwhelmingly to open the Gaza probe backed by China, Russia and the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC). This is another bad faith operation by the UN.  Hamas committed multiple war crimes in its attacks on Israel.  It deliberately fired thousands of rockets at civilian targets and it also illegally used human shields to defend its operations.  That they are investigating Israel's defense against these war crimes demonstrates incredible bias.

More challenges to 2020 election results

Stu Cvrk: Spring has sprung, and the lilacs are in bloom. Speaking of blooming, reports of election irregularities and audits and agitated Democrats and their lickspittle media are breaking out all over. Let’s start this update with signs of panic in the Democrat-media complex, as no matter how hard they try, they will never suppress the deeply held suspicions by many Americans about the lack of integrity of the 2020 election. For example, in  a recent Ipsos/Reuters poll whose results were released on 21 May : “56% of Republicans believe the election was rigged or the result of illegal voting, and 53% think Donald Trump is the actual President, not Joe Biden. Only 30% of Republicans feel confident that absentee or mail-in ballots were accurately counted, compared to 86% of Democrats and 55% of independent. I would wager that this poll is about as “accurate” as the election polls, too, in that the Republican numbers are in reality much higher while lower percentages of Democra...

Facts do not support 'fact-checkers'

PJ Media: PJ Media Demands an Apology for the Damage Facebook's Dishonest Partisan Fact-Checkers Have Done to Our Reputation ... Suddenly, out of nowhere, left-wing media outlets are falling all over themselves to report evidence pointing to the COVID lab-leak theory—formerly called the lab-leak “conspiracy.” A few months ago it was the stuff of the tinfoil-hat brigade. The science was settled! The SARS-CoV-2 virus came from bats and definitely not from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Thus saith the fact-checkers, who are never wrong about anything and who have the final say about which information you’re allowed to see on social media! Defy them at your own peril! Let’s review: Science Feedback, official fact-checkers for Facebook, announced in a February 2020 headline that “Scientific evidence indicates virus that causes COVID-19 infection is of natural origin, not the result of human engineering: The article claimed there was no evidence that biosecurity failures at the W...

College rescinds its condemnation of Palestinian bigots

Washington Free Beacon: Administrators at a taxpayer-funded New Jersey college backtracked on a statement condemning the rise of anti-Semitism in the United States following a pressure campaign by the anti-Israel Students for Justice in Palestine. Rutgers-New Brunswick chancellor Christopher Molloy and provost Francine Conway said in a Wednesday statement that they were "saddened by and greatly concerned" by the spike of anti-Semitism in the United States, as dozens of American Jews have been harassed and assaulted by extremist Palestinian activists following unrest between terrorists in the Gaza Strip and Israel. By Friday, the campus leaders had rescinded their disapproval of anti-Semitism, saying they "failed to communicate our support for Palestinian" faculty and students. "Our diversity must be supported by equity, inclusion, antiracism, and the condemnation of all forms of bigotry and hatred," they said in an apology note first reported by the Dail...

The case against racial preferences

Power Line: ... Gail Heriot’s chapter recalling Mosk’s opinion goes on to make out the deepest problem with race-based admissions: But if anything can cause good-faith supporters  [of race-based admissions]  to stop and reconsider, it is the mounting empirical research showing that race-preferential admissions policies are doing more harm than good, even for their intended beneficiaries. If this research is right, we now have fewer, not more, African-American physicians, scientists, and engineers than we would have had if colleges and universities had followed race-neutral policies. We have fewer college professors, too, and likely fewer lawyers. Ironically, preferential treatment has made it more difficult for talented African-American and Hispanic students to enter high-prestige careers. No one should want to support race-preferential admissions policies if their effects are precisely the opposite of what was hoped for. ...  There is much more. I think it has done...

CRT racism contaminates parts of US

Epoch Times: ‘Critical Race Theory Is the New Racism,’ Says Texas Public Policy Foundation Scholar Its true believers are as jingoistic as the KKK and more successful in spreading their hatred.

Lessons of the Hamas war

Michael Walsh: So the Israelis have once again let themselves and much of the rest of the world down by calling a halt to their latest skirmish with the “Palestinians” of Hamas , to whom they unwisely transferred control of the Gaza Strip in 2005. The recent round of rocket-launching and retaliatory air strikes accomplished nothing strategic, but merely kicked the can of resolution down the road yet again, in the vain hopes that the elusive “peace process” might someday resolve the conflict. There’s only one resolution to this fight, however, and that’s total victory for one side or the other. And that’ll be the side that wants it more, and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that end. Of course, this ruthless bellicosity offends the modern sensibility that victory is looked upon as rude and victimhood is prized as “moral authority.” American foreign-policy objectives, even prior to the end of the Cold War, have included a balance of power in which nobody loses, everybod...

Biden wants US dependent on foreign sources for materials for electric vehicles he favors

Washington Examiner: Relying on foreign allies for critical minerals supply instead of mining domestically would be an “irresponsible” and “dangerous” policy for the Biden administration to pursue, a top lithium executive says. “That’s a false choice. We need to have both. We need to have production, and we need to have processing in the United States,” James Calaway, who is the chairman of the board of lithium mining company Ioneer, told the  Washington Examiner . “Those go together, and that’s the most environmentally friendly way to do it.” US FACES SOARING NEED FOR CRITICAL MINERALS DOMINATED BY CHINA, IEA SAYS Calaway was responding to a  report  that said the Biden administration, in a move to appease environmentalists, would focus on building a domestic industry to process critical minerals rather than exploring opportunities to mine in the U.S. The potential policy decision  drew immediate backlash  from mining industry groups. The Biden administra...

Pennsylvania county votes to investigate voting machine errors

Epoch Times: Pennsylvania County Votes to Investigate Voting Machines Over ‘Errors’   Luzerne County council votes to allow a district attorney to investigate issues reported during last week's election This is for a recent primary election in the county.  It does raise the question of whether these were the wame machines used in the 2020 election in the state.

The Democrats spin machine of the virus gets bogged down in facts

Angelo Codevilla: Joe Biden’s instruction to the U.S. intelligence community to report whether the novel coronavirus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology is a comical attempt to avoid being discredited by the unraveling narrative that China’s role in the pandemic is another manifestation of racism . You know, the racism that results in Asian Americans being beaten in the streets by white Trump voters insidiously disguised as black Democrats. Having much invested in that narrative, the Democratic Party wants to distance itself from its unavoidable collapse. Basic facts should be stipulated. U.S. intelligence does not possess hard facts to prove exactly what happened in that lab. If it had them, it would have informed the previous president as well as the current one. Nor does U.S. intelligence have sources in China, human or technical, placed and uncompromised, capable of yielding such information. This is not the place to rehearse the well-known near absence of American in...

Travis county has a turn them loose DA like those Soros has helped to elect in liberal cities

Bryan Preston: ... Olmos isn’t a household name unless you know the Texas prison system well. Austin police certainly know him and his body of work. The eight-time felon convict was arrested (again) on May 25, 2021, after he had allegedly carjacked and gone on a crime spree, including multiple armed robberies across Austin. ... Olmos was released on November 2, 2020, and was set to remain on parole until October of 2023. But on April 2, 2021, while on parole, Olmos allegedly evaded arrest in a vehicle from the Sealy Police Department, in southeast Texas near Houston. Sealy police pursued him from that area until the Texas Department of Public Safety took over the chase as he moved west. Troopers pursued him into Travis County where he was apprehended. A source says Mr. Olmos was found in possession of a handgun and methamphetamine. He was arrested once again for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, evading arrest, and possession of a controlled substance. Just four days later —...

Illegal alien found guilty for murdering Iowa woman out for a run

Washington Examiner: Cristhian Bahena Rivera was found guilty of first-degree murder Friday in the 2018 death of 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts. The 26-year-old Mexican national was accused of following Tibbetts, stabbing her to death, and abandoning her body in a corn field. This trial happened after Biden opened the door to convicted perverts and sex offenders crossing the border.  We do not yet know whether there will be other potential victims to the madness. Another example of what looks like Biden corruption: Biden transition team official's consulting firm advised contractor handed millions to house migrants ...   New information obtained exclusively by the  Washington Examiner  revealed that the Family Endeavors employee believed to have brokered the deal, a former ICE official, was advising Family Endeavors while he was on the Biden-Harris transition team, where he may have had knowledge of the government's plans to change border policies and known what ...

Others pushing Chicom fiction that Taiwan is not a country

Breitbart: The German biotech company BioNTech urged Taiwan to remove the word “country” from a joint press release that would have announced a now-scrapped vaccine deal between the East Asian nation and BioNtech, Taiwan Health Minister Chen Shih-chung said on Thursday. Taiwan’s health ministry began talks with BioNTech to secure supplies of its Chinese coronavirus vaccine — which it produces jointly with the U.S.-based pharmaceutical company Pfizer — but those negotiations ended in January over the wording of a draft press release, Chen revealed at a regular press briefing in Taipei on May 27. The Chinese company Fosun Pharmaceuticals is also a partner in the development of the vaccine. BioNTech on December 31, 2020, “provided a final version of a vaccine contract” to Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) “which the center signed and returned on January 6,” Chen said, as quoted by the Taipei Times. “The next day, the center and the company exchanged views on what infor...

14 UFOs seen swarming US warship

Daily Mail: Video showing an unidentified flying object splashing down into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego two years ago appears to have been corroborated by military radar which shows as many as 14 UFOs swarming a Navy combat ship while traveling at speeds of more than 160mph. Earlier this month, investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell released footage showing what appeared to be a spherical object floating in the air above the ocean as it was observed by US Navy sailors aboard the USS Omaha in July 2019. Corbell on Thursday released another video of the same incident, only this clip shows military radar being observed by sailors on the Omaha. ... Sailors aboard the Omaha observed the objects and measured their speed using two different radar systems. One of the objects flew as fast as 138 knots - which is more than 158 miles an hour. ‘Holy s***. They’re going fast,’ one of the sailors is heard in the video saying. He then adds: ‘Oh, it’s turning around.’ Corbell sai...

Hunter took a Burisma pay cut when his father left office

Monica Showalter: ... So sure enough, the New York Post, in its daily journalistic diggings, found  this beaut  from deep inside the bowels of Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop computer. The Ukrainian energy company that  was paying President Biden's son Hunter  $1 million a year cut his monthly compensation in half two months after his father ceased to be vice president. From May 2014, Burisma Holdings Ltd.  was paying Hunter  $83,333 a month to sit on its board, invoices on his abandoned laptop show. But in an email on March 19, 2017, Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi asked Hunter to sign a new director's agreement and informed him "the only thing that was amended is the compensation rate." "We are very much interested in working closely together, and the remuneration is still the highest in the company and higher than the standard director's monthly fees. I am sure you will find it both fair and reasonable." After the email, the amount listed o...

Appeals Court upholds Judges decision against Biden's race and sex based relief effort

Legal Insurrection: Appeals Court Enjoins Biden’s Coronvirus Relief Favoring Non-Whites and Women   “This case is about whether the government can allocate limited coronavirus relief funds based on the race and sex of the applicants. We hold that it cannot.” Biden and the Democrats have tried to pander to people they see as their base instead of all who are in need.

Pentagon taking heat for racist CRT push

Washington Free Beacon: Troubled by an influx of critical race theory into the military, a coalition of veterans and congressional Republicans are demanding the Pentagon stop placating left-wing activists and focus on national defense. A July 2020 film by the United States Air Force Academy football team endorsing Black Lives Matter and "antiracism" education prompted retired Lt. Gen. Rod Bishop to speak out against the school’s administrators. Military academies, the 34-year Air Force veteran said, should remain politically neutral, particularly at a time when Black Lives Matter protests have led to riots and violence throughout major cities across the country. "Rather than e pluribus unum, rather than teamwork, rather than cohesion, we're being taught an ideology which seeks to divide us based on the color of our skin," Bishop told the Washington Free Beacon. "I've flown into combat zones. It didn’t matter if my copilot was black or not. How are we b...
