Climate kooks alienate commuters

 Daily Mail:

Moment furious commuters rip banners away from climate activists blocking roads in angry rush-hour clash, screaming: 'We got kids to feed… I want to get to work'

I have seen other reports that indicate protests that block traffic are counterproductive.  On one recent protest, a patrol car broke through the blockage to let the traffic get by.

The Chicago way

Image
Eric Daugherty @EricLDaugh · 1h NOW: JD Vance absolutely decimates Gov. JB Pritzker "Governor Pritzker will talk a lot about how bad Donald Trump is, about how bad I am, and about how bad the administration is. He is the governor of a state that where its biggest city has murder rates that rival the most violent places in the THIRD WORLD!" "WHY is he so mad at Donald Trump for trying to keep Chicagoans safe? He should be mad at the CRIMINALS that he has failed to keep at bay. We're trying to help him, and we're trying to help the residents of his biggest city." "I wish that he would let us, because he certainly isn't doing the job himself!" The Democrat surrender monkeys

Don Surber: ... The Democratic Party victory is seen as a victory for the opponents of democracy in the Middle East in general and Iraq in particular. I am not blaming Democrats. I blame the 31 million Americans who have given up after less than 4 years. They may not eat cheese, but they are surrender monkeys. That half of them supported the war when it began is sickening. They and the hundreds of other Democrats who voted for the war only to give up later are throwing away lives of our Iraqi allies who were foolish enough to trust us when President Bush said we were in Iraq to stay. Now they are running for cover. ... The Democratic “peace plan” will not bring peace to anyone. It will simply will bring our troops home and cede an important battleground in the war on terror to the terrorists. Swapping land for security just does not work.... ... It always amaze...

The story of the Girl of Qatif, as the alleged rape victim has been called by the media here, has triggered a rare debate about Saudi Arabia's legal system, in which judges have wide discretion in punishing a criminal, rules of evidence are shaky and sometimes no defense lawyers are present. The result, critics say, are sentences left to the whim of judges. These include one in which a group of men got heavier sentences for harassing women than the men in the Girl of Qatif rape case or three men who were convicted of raping a boy. In another, a woman was ordered to divorce her husband against her will based on a demand by her relatives. In the case of the Girl of Qatif, she was sentenced to 90 lashes for being alone in a car with a man to whom she ...
