71% say country is on wrong track

Even Chuck Todd, when he’s introducing the poll, refers to it as “scary” for the Democrats.

“Americans have lost their confidence” in Biden and “their optimism for the country,” Todd says. No kidding. It has to be earth shattering to see some of this, especially coming up on the election in Virginia and the midterms approaching next year.

The numbers for Biden was just terrible, with 42 percent approving of his job performance and more than half, 54 percent disapproving. That disapproving number. This, after being at 49 percent – 48 percent in August.

Seven in 10 adults, including almost half of the Democrats in the survey — 48 percent — believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.

Perhaps worst for Biden personally only 37 percent believed believe he’s able to handle a crisis, 47 percent think he’s not able. Only 37 percent think he’s competent, while 50 percent — the majority — think that he is not.

But, it was this picture that was for me the most shocking part of the survey, as I said. Because this is likely to tell the tale in the elections come 2022, if it holds.

There are many of us who can't wait to vote against Democrats. It is not just Biden. The Democrats in Congress seem to think their inflationary spending spree will help them. They are dead wrong. A majority oppose them and support Republican efforts to stop the spending spree.  This also explains the panic in the Virginia elections as Democrats throw everything they have at it and are still losing.
