Things that are looking up for Biden--Crime, Inflation and illegal border crossings

Top Republicans say inflation fears, rising crime, and lax border security are developing into a voter backlash against President Joe Biden that is poised to deliver the House majority to the GOP in the 2022 midterm elections.

In fresh polling from the National Republican Congressional Committee, “seven out of 10 voters in battleground districts express high levels of concern about rising prices and the higher cost of living. … Voters in these battleground districts trust Republicans over Democrats in Congress to deal with crime and public safety,” while independents and Hispanics disapprove of Biden’s handling of the “border crisis” by 23 percentage points. The NRCC polled 85 battleground House districts July 8–15.

“Democrats are the party of 'defund the police,' and the voters know it,” said Rep. Tom Emmer of Minnesota, the NRCC chairman, during a Thursday morning video news conference with reporters. How confident is Emmer? More than a year before the general election, he is declaring some veteran Democratic incumbents defeated.

I think Republicans will be hammer Democrats on those issues if they are not already.  Biden's response to those issues to the extent he has tried to make one have been incoherent.  Pelosi also clearly has no answer either and is trying to distract from them by beating a dead horse on the events of January 6.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ... Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
