There is no two state plan because Palestinians don't want one

NY Times:

Israel Housing Move Seen as Setback for Two-State Plan

Two settlement actions seemed timed to punish the Palestinians for securing upgraded status at the United Nations, and appeared to show that hard-liners had prevailed in the debate over a response.
The settlements aren't the problem it is the Palestinians.  They want a one state solution that does not include Israel.  They have been turning down two state opportunities since 1948.  Anyone who thinks Hamas is interested in a two state solution is not paying attention.  Even though there are no Israelis in Gaza, Hamas still refers to Israel as the "occupiers."

How many times do the Palestinians have to keep saying "no" before the State Department and the NY Times believe them.  Romney had a much better understanding of what is going on in Israel and its territories than Obama.  But, Obama should know that know nothing is going to happen regardless the settlements.

BTW, Jerusalem is not a settlement, it is the capitol of Israel.  The chances that Israel will give part of it away are remote.  They may allow some limited autonomy for Palestinians who live there.  Another BTW, have you noticed that the Palestinians don't want any Jews living in their area.  None.  In fact they punish anyone who sells property to Jews.  How come the NY Times does not say anything about the apartheid policies of the Palestinians?
