Americans lose respect for Muslim world
Shortly before President Obama departs for a trip to the Middle East, a new national poll suggests that one in five Americans has a favorable view of Muslim countries.I think that last quoted paragraph explains the other finds in the poll. Certainly, it is not deniable that many Muslims are at war with the US. Because of the war they are waging against us and the lack of vigorous opposition to those making war against us by many Muslims it is easy to understand why many Americans would lose respect for the Muslim world.That view compares with 46 percent of the people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey who say they have an unfavorable opinion of Muslim countries. That's up 5 percentage points from 2002, when 41 percent indicated that they had an unfavorable view.
Meanwhile, three in 10 say they have a neutral opinion of Muslim countries.
The poll also suggests that most Americans suspect people in Muslim countries don't think highly of the United States. Nearly eight in 10 questioned say people in Muslim countries have a unfavorable opinion of the United States, with 14 percent saying Muslims hold a favorable view.
But the poll indicates Americans seem to be split on whether such negative opinions by Muslims matter. Fifty-three percent of those questioned say they think Muslim views of the United States matter greatly or moderately, with 47 percent saying that Muslim opinions of the United States don't matter very much or at all.

Many Americans seem to agree with the president: Sixty-two percent of those surveyed say they don't think the United States is at war with the Muslim world, with 36 percent indicating that the country is at war with Muslim countries. Those numbers have remained stable since CNN's 2002 poll.
But the poll suggests that six out of 10 think that the Muslim world considers itself at war with the United States.

What we tend to see in the news from that corner are mindless tantrums over cartoons and Korans in the crapper along with mass murder for Allah operations. We see this at a time when the US has devoted significant resources to help Muslims in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The radical Muslims fight for a failed culture from the Middle Ages is irrational to most Americans.
I suspect that Americans will not appreciate another groveling performance by Obama in the Middle East and the Muslim world will not be impressed either. Obama appears to be engaged in hubris with respect to his communication skills which are beginning to fade in their magic in this country too.
I An not a Muslim but i learned to respect different religions and cultures. America should educate itself about The Muslim World before expressing their hurtful views, Muslims are people of peace, They are against terrorism and that is something that they fuel themselves, Shame on the narrow minded people that aren't bothered to understand and appreciate the different cultures of the world. Just because people are different doesnt mean their bad, Leave Muslims Alone, Fix your own image to the world before picking on other People. I Am Ashamed of being an American, Shame On America.
