State’s Decision to Drop School Test Signals Shift in U.S.

As states have rejected tests tied to the Common Core standards, no about-face has resonated more than that of Massachusetts, known as a leader in education reform.
There has always been a lack of political support for this program and there has also been a rejection of Obama administration top down directives.  We need to face the fact that federal involvement in education has been largely a failure since it began.  In many cases the testing for admission to college hows schools performances peaked 50 years ago before the feds intervened and wasted billions.
