Even as the Kremlin tries to deny its involvement with fighting in Ukraine and families are pressured to keep quiet, the deaths of soldiers are impossible to ignore.
A central element to Russian aggression in Ukraine has been the attempted deceit about Russian involvement, but the body bags put the lie to Putin's claims.  Even in a culture ruled by despots it is hard to hide the truth in the caskets.
