The left's Kenosha narrative implodes

streiff: From the moment convicted pedophile Joseph Rosenbaum was dropped in a Kenosha, WI, auto dealership car lot while attacking 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse the left has been desperate to establish a narrative in which the three convicted felons who were shot by Rittenhouse were actually upright citizens out for an evening of burning, looting, and mayhem in defense of the lives of Black people…who were wise enough to stay home and far away from this sh**show. Rittenhouse was initially labeled a white supremacist by the leftwing press and even by members of Congress despite there being zero indications that was the case. They also kept claiming that he’d traveled from “out of state” to go to Kenosha in search of a fight and had brought a modern sporting rifle with him. The facts have turned out to be significantly different. The thugs shot by Rittenhouse were not solid citizens. They were all convicted felons. One was a pedophile. Two were convicted of domestic battery. T...

Attacks by mob after Trump acceptance speech look like organized criminal activity sponsored by Democrats

Monica Showalter: Following the conclusion of the Republican National Convention, the far left's "fiery but peaceful" protestors had a pretty disgusting plan: Instead of just yelling at the top of their lungs from the outside, or attempting to disrupt the convention from the inside, or burning and looting nearby shops to give the whole thing a bad public relations odor, they decided to physically attack Republicans as they exited the convention. That was the plan. They certainly attacked random nobodys exiting the front, but when Sen. Rand Paul attempted to get to his hotel two blocks away on foot after waiting 45 minutes at the wrong hotel, the mobs recognized him and got really excited, first swarming him and his wife in a group of 30, and then swelling to 60, and then to a 120-sized turba mob. They made lunging attacks at the senator and his luckily-spotted police escort who were trying to protect Paul and his wife and deflect the "protest...

Obama organization teams with Soros group to 'protest' Trump

Breitbart: Organizing for Action, the activist group that morphed from Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign, has partnered with the newly-formed Indivisible Project for “online trainings” on how to protest President Donald Trump’s agenda. Last week, Breitbart News extensively reported that Indivisible leaders are openly associated with groups financed by billionaire George Soros. Politico earlier this month profiled Indivisible in an article titled, “Inside the protest movement that has Republicans reeling.” The news agency not only left out the Soros links, but failed to note that the organizations cited in its article as helping to amplify Indivisible’s message are either financed directly by Soros or have close ties to groups funded by the billionaire, as Breitbart News documented. Organizing for Action (OFA) is a so-called community organizing project that sprung from Obama’s 2012 campaign organization, Organizing for America, becoming a nonprofit described by the Wa...

Black hate crime follows the false narrative about police responding to a criminal resisting arrest

The Lid: Black Man Yells ‘Black Lives Matter’ While Stabbing White Man Walking Dog He's Facing Hate Crime, Attempted Murder Charges The Democrats' false narrative about arrests gone wrong is leading to more crime and more attacks on the innocent.  From riots where businesses are looted and burned to this attempted murder, people are losing their minds. The riots and the alleged conduct, in this case, are all hate crimes.  I do not think the rioters represent the black community.  Many of the victims of the riots are black.  What is happening is that race hustlers are stirring up hate over incidents that do not justify their actions.

There is a pattern to the arrests of criminals who resist the police

Andrea Widburg: On May 25, a video showed serial criminal George Floyd dying while being arrested.  That triggered violent riots across America, ostensibly against systemic racism and race-driven police brutality.  The same happened on August 23, when a video emerged showing police officers shooting Jacob Blake, a man with a history of violence and sexual assault. Everyone knew that Floyd and Blake were shady characters.  It's also become clear that the police behaved appropriately in both cases.  The same pattern appears with both Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin: the men who fired their guns were proven to have acted in self-defense, but violence followed both shootings.  There's a reason for this pattern, but first, let's review the dueling narratives in these and other cases. Floyd was a bad guy  with multiple convictions for drug possession theft, trespass, and armed robbery.  He admitted he was high when the p...

The left smeared the grieving widow of policeman whose murder was put online by the killers

Red States: David Dorn’s Wife Gave the Most Powerful Speech of the RNC, CNN Smeared Her This woman clearly loved her husband and did most of the people who knew him.  Many Democrats thought his black life did not matter.

Leftist media warns Democrats to stop the riots or see Trump reelected

Image
David Marcus: The  New York Times  ran an article Wednesday about how voters in Wisconsin are responding to the riots by switching their support to Donald Trump. This is a very strange thing to see in the progressive Gray Lady. Anybody who follows the paper and its politics closely knows exactly what is happening here. It is a desperate plea to Democrats to change their tune on the violence sweeping across American cities. And Democrats seem to understand this as well. Joe Biden released a video Wednesday in which he provided his clearest condemnation of the riots, looting, arson, assault, and destruction of property committed by left-wing “protesters.” Biden said that while protesting was utterly American, these acts are not. He said they were wrong. He did not however, tell people specifically to stop and more importantly, he made no suggestion as to what government and law enforcement should do to stop it. And it’s not just Joe Biden; look at this tweet from Demo...

Lockdown madness would be devastating for many Texans

Kevin Robers, Ph.D.: Some Texans have simply given up. Mick Larkin in Wichita Falls, Texas, has closed down his karaoke club for good. The Lone Star State’s COVID-19 lockdown rules were changed again June 26; Mr. Larkin and his partner dumped the $1,000 in perishable goods they’d just purchased for the weekend and walked away. No decision to put Texas into another lockdown should be made in a vacuum. Some argue the lockdown will save lives, but we must recognize that lockdowns can also cost lives and livelihoods. Renewing Texas’ stay-at-home order would invite personal financial devastation to millions of families across Texas. During the initial lockdown, the Texas economy suffered a devastating blow. January and February saw historic bests in the labor market, but things fell off of a cliff in March. That’s when the economy cratered and 1.3 million Texans lost their jobs. In a survey taken at the end of May, 16% of Texans said they were facing financial ruin, and 22% said it wo...

Democrat protests are unpopular with voters and Biden's lack of leadership will hurt him

Washington Post: Trump intensifies rhetoric against protests, seeking an election edge Campaign aides said that harsh remarks about unrest in cities is part of an attempt by President Trump to win suburban voters and convince Americans that violence in cities is Joe Biden’s fault — not his. Local Democrats have handled the riots poorly and failed to stop them, and Biden has been mostly mute about them.  The Democrats thought the riots were a good political tool and used the term chaos to describe things at their convention in hopes of blaming Trump.  Voters are not buying that and they know that local Democrat officials have refused help from Trump in dealing with the lawless Democrats.  With polls showing that voters are fed up with the Democrat riots, Biden finally had to condemn them.  Up until then, the Democrats acted like Antifa did not exist. It should also be noted that Kamala Harris supported the riots and said they would continue . ... Not that...

Complaints about Trump are mostly about style over substance

NY Times: Is Teleprompter Trump Effective? Although most voters complain about President Trump’s often abrasive personality, Americans over all are actually far more likely to say they’re bothered by his personal foibles than by his politics. Trump's style reflects his rough and tumble business in New York.   While not all New Yorkers are like that, many are.  I recall a woman telling me about her experience in a New York deli once where there was a jar of pickles on the table she was served at.  Being a polite Texan she asked the owner if she could have one and he bluntly told her "They are there, Eat them." In my career, I dealt with several New York business people and found them smart and often blunt.  I think Trump falls into that category. What this story really conveys is that those on the left who call him a fascist are really out of touch with most voters.

Leftist media ignored by Trump supporters

NY Times: TV Ratings for Biden and Trump Signal an Increasingly Polarized Nation Fox News dominated ratings for the Republican convention, and MSNBC was the clear No. 1 for the Democrats’ gathering. It has been years since I have watched MSNBC.  I view them as an unreliable source of news that supports the evils of liberalism.  While Fox is fairer than MSNBC and CNN, this time I watched the GOP convention on OAN because it focused on the speakers and was not interrupting the presentation with commentary.   I thought this convention by the Trump team was one of the best I have ever seen.  MSNBC and CNN were both dead wrong on the Russian collusion hoax and neither of them appears to have learned anything from their mistakes.

Athletes show unintelligent response to shooting of suspect resisting arrest

Houston Chronicle: A's, Astros walk off field in protest, game postponed If athletes want to do something about police shootings they should tell people not to resist arrest or take threatening actions toward police.  Resisting arrest is the dumbest thing a person can do in a confrontation with police.  What intelligent people do is cooperate with the police and if arrested get an attorney appointed to deal with the problem. Walking off the field because an alleged criminal made a bad decision is just another bad decision.  The league should consider fining players who do this in the future.

Polls determine Democrat attitude toward riots and domestic terrorism

Victoria Taft: And Just Like That, Joe Biden and the Democrats Stopped Liking Riots From CNN to Joe Biden after acting for months like the violence did not exist they now denounce after polls show that voters are now supporting Trump because he is resisting the violence.

Facts do not matter to violent mobs in this country

Nick Arama: Some on the left and in media like to pretend that there’s some kind of justification for the BLM riots. “They’re upset about black people being killed by police” or “They just want reform.” Bull. We passed that false argument months ago. The riots are about creating chaos and moving everything further to the left. That’s what they really want. So take them at their word, not how the Democrats or the media want to smooth it all over. Because if it actually was about “justice,” facts would matter. It would matter in Minneapolis that the man committed suicide and was not killed by police. It would matter if the suspect resisted or had a knife as in the case of Jacob Blake. But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just an excuse to push their chaos which really has nothing to do with any of the people they ask you to name. When the BLM surrounded Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and his wife on the way back to their hotel from the Republican convention at the White House, they we...

Trump's courtship of black voters is another reason for Democrat panic

Julie Kelly: Democrats are panicking—and not just because their presidential candidate isn’t up to the task of running for president let alone running the country. No, Democrats are fearful that Donald Trump’s four-year courtship of black voters will reap electoral dividends in November. “Both campaigns tell me that there is a chance that Donald Trump could overperform with African American men,” NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd admitted this week. “It’s a concern of the Biden campaign and it’s a focus of the Trump campaign.” While Todd blamed Trump for “stoking racial tensions” in an attempt to win back suburban voters, the fact is that no other Republican president or candidate has worked harder to earn the long-elusive support of black Americans. “What have you got to lose?” Trump memorably asked black voters during a rally in August 2016. “You’re living in poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed. What the hell do you...

Democrats begin to panic over election

Red States: Something is definitely cooking within Democrat circles right now. The huge success of the RNC and the rioting in Kenosha has brought about a sudden flip of confidence on the left. A week ago, they were certain they were cruising to victory. Now, panic is setting in and it’s not pretty. Last night, we saw mobs in D.C. harass and assault bystanders as the Republicans made the case that the chaos is the sole property of the left. Given the political views of both sides, that was an easy case to make. And after spending months stoking the flames of riots and excusing the outcomes, Democrats and their media allies are starting to see that a change of tack is needed. That’s how you get desperate pleas like this. I love that suggestion by Bill Kristol. It’s pure fantasy to think Biden would ever take the side of a citizen being harassed by Black Lives Matter protesters. Further, I’d hope Victor wouldn’t be willing to be a prop for him after all the obfuscating an...

Violence by the left is leading to rejection of Democrats

Andrea Widburg: For months now, the Democrat-controlled mainstream media has cheered on the violence that followed George Floyd's fentanyl overdose while in police custody.  In Democrat-run cities across American, mayors sympathized with the mobs on the streets.  They would not act to stem the violence that has destroyed billions of dollars in public and private property and claimed several lives.  Higher up the political chain, Democrat politicians refused to condemn the violence, instead blaming federal officers and (of course) President Trump. Suddenly, though, there's a change in the air.  With Trump getting a bounce following the Democrat convention and getting an even greater bounce as the Republican convention plays out, Democrats in the media and elsewhere have realized that the average American is repelled, rather than enchanted, by a violent, bloody revolution in America's streets. This woman speaks for many Democrat voters who be...

The anti-police riots are backfiring in Wisconsin

Washington Free Beacon: Support for anti-police protests and the Black Lives Matter movement dropped precipitously among Wisconsin residents between mid-June and early August, a new poll finds, offering electoral alarm bells for Democrats who have defended or downplayed rioting and violence associated with them. Mass protests that began in the wake of George Floyd's killing commanded a net 25 percentage-point approval in the third week of June, the Marquette Law School Poll found at the time. But by the first week of August, respondents to the same poll were evenly divided, with equal numbers supporting and opposing the protests—a 25 point drop in net approval. The Black Lives Matter movement similarly lost 20 percentage points of support, dropping from a net approval of 32 percent to 12 percent. By contrast, Wisconsinites grew more supportive of the police, whose net approval rose from 54 percent to 63 percent. All of these findings predate the past week's chaos in Kenosha,...

Democrats in Texas county know how to make a mess out of counting votes

Hot Air: Harris County’s Democrat County Clerk Doubles Down On Mail-In Voting Hidalgo, the county judge, is an intellectual lightweight who has used the virus to impose totalitarian control in the county in typical Democrat fashion using "science" as an excuse for control freak directives.  Harris County encompasses much of Houston and its population is greater than that of many states. Meanwhile: Massachusetts Can Account For A Little More Than Half Of The Million Primary Ballots They Mailed Out Is this just Democrat incompetence or is it by design to make elections impossible?

Roger Ailes takes his place among conservative heros in new movie

Chris Buskirk: Who is the most consequential conservative of the past 30 years? When you think about it, it’s hard to come up with many plausible answers. Is it Newt Gingrich for what he did in the 1990s? The ’90s and 2000s were a virtual wasteland for conservatives. There’s no one, really, who comes to mind from the Bush Administration. So maybe it’s Rush Limbaugh? Or Donald Trump? A new documentary on Amazon Prime, “The Man in the Arena ,” makes a compelling argument that the answer is Roger Ailes. Released last month, the documentary is a captivating sketch of a unique and fascinating American life. Ailes was born in Warren, Ohio in 1940 a bit more than a year before America entered World War II. In those days, Warren was a thriving factory town in America’s industrial heartland. The work wasn’t easy but it was plentiful, a factory worker like Ailes’ father could support a family on his salary alone, and the kids could get ahead if they worked hard. Roger certainly did that, f...
