Sanctuary for illegals faces criminal prosecution
DC Daily Journal:
...
President Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, is making it clear: New Jersey Democrat Governor Phil Murphy won’t get a free pass if he’s knowingly harboring an illegal immigrant. Homan’s statement comes after Murphy openly admitted that he allowed a non-citizen with an unresolved immigration status to live in his home — and even dared federal authorities to do something about it.
...
“I think the governor is pretty foolish … I got note of it. Won’t let it go. We’ll look into it. And if he’s knowingly, knowingly harboring, concealing an illegal alien, that’s a violation of Title VIII, United States Code 1324. I would seek prosecution or the Secretary would seek prosecution,” he responded.
...
I suspect that Murphy will backtrack on his harboring of an illegal in his home. Homan makes it clear that such conduct is illegal.
