Getting rid of illegal sanctuary policies of illegals

The Justice Department initiated legal action against New York City and Mayor Eric Adams on Thursday, challenging the city’s sanctuary laws as part of the Trump administration’s intensified efforts to combat illegal immigration.

The department alleged that New York City’s sanctuary policies enable criminals to roam freely, committing serious offenses without adequate consequences. These policies, according to the Justice Department, hinder federal law enforcement’s ability to address illegal immigration and detain dangerous offenders.

“New York City has released thousands of criminals on the streets to commit violent crimes against law-abiding citizens due to sanctuary city policies,” Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a statement. “If New York City won’t stand up for the safety of its citizens, we will.”

The lawsuit marks another step in the Trump administration’s campaign to penalize jurisdictions that obstruct federal immigration enforcement. The Justice Department has also filed lawsuits against New York state, Colorado, Illinois, Los Angeles, and multiple cities in New Jersey.

There should be no sanctuaries for illegal immigration.  They are a threat to public safety and the rule of law.  The DOJ should have no tolerance for jurisdictions that protect lawlessness.  Some cities appear to be doing this to illegally increase the number of representatives they can elect.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
