Trump and Media question the Biden Pardons

 DC Daily Journal:

The Trump administration is wasting no time digging into the questionable actions of its predecessor, with a sharp focus on the flurry of last-minute pardons issued by former President Joe Biden. On Tuesday, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy confronted White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, brandishing copies of Biden’s pardons and raising doubts about their legitimacy. Holding up documents with suspiciously uniform signatures, Doocy pointed out that most appeared to be autopen-generated, with one messy signature standing out as potentially authentic.

“Most of the big pardons have the same, very neat signature. We would expect that probably to be the autopen. There is one that looks different, it looks authentic, in fact if you look at the last name it looks like the former president was having a hard time spelling his last name there. Is this White House of the opinion that the only pardon that would count is one that the president signed himself for Hunter Biden?” Doocy asked, pressing Leavitt on the validity of the documents. His question cuts to the core of concerns that Biden’s administration may have relied on automated signatures to push through controversial pardons, potentially sidestepping proper authority.

They looked questionable from my perspective, too.  I am also not sure Biden had the mental state to deal with such an issue.  Congress should delve into who was actually making the pardon decisions and why they wanted to make them.

Dr. Kevin O’Connor has been compelled to appear for a deposition that’s been scheduled for June 27. The testimony is part of an investigation to uncover whether Biden’s cognitive decline was covered up and whether unauthorized use of the autopen for pardons and executive actions was taken.

“No autopen was used in the signing of this subpoena,” Comer wisecracked on X, making a reference to Biden’s use of an autopen.
