One of the reasons why people are skeptical of "climate change" is the fact that most of the people pushing it are doing so because they like control freak government and it is harder to sell with the failure of communism and socialism. So controlling the use of energy is a convenient way for them to get back in charge of running and ruining an economy.

But there is nothing in climate change theory that suggest s that hurricanes will linger longer than usual. This one dropped a lot of rain but it was not the rainiest ever. If it had taken a normal course of blowing through an area it would have not been that unusual or destructive.
