The next president faces problems more daunting than any in a generation, as the old order has given way to a mix of alliances, rivalries and overlapping crises.
They inherited a relatively stable Middle East from George W. Bush and managed to scramble it while trying to avoid responsibility for anything. Many on the left still resist holding them responsible for the mess that has embraced the area. Their response to the collapse of Middle East culture is to import those fleeing the mess who are still clinging to their failed culture.
You know that if Bush left this kind of mess, the left would be blaming him for generations.
