Liberals have a knack for increasing the crime rate in cities they control

Murder rate sharply rises in Baltimore, but arrests plummet in the wake of Freddie Gray's death

  • 2015 has already seen 100 homicide victims in Baltimore, with the most recent victim killed Thursday
  • In 2014, the 100th homicide took place in July and there there were 71 homicide victims in late May
  • There were 39 homicide victims from April 21 to May 20 during a period of upheaval over Freddie Gray's death
  • Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said 'It is disheartening, but I am still resolved to continue to reduce violent crime in our city'
That is what happens when you tell the cops to take it easy on crooks.  Baltimore throws a hissy fit over one unexplained death of an arrested man, but ignores a 100 deaths at the hands of criminals.  There is something wrong with this kind of thinking.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
