The US northern border feeling the inconvenience of illegal immigration too

Washington Post:
As migrants flee for Canada, fears rise over the perils of frigid illegal crossings

With tightening U.S. immigration policy sending people for the border, local officials in Minnesota and Canada are angry about being shoved onto the front lines of the debate.
Some of those immigrants also made dangerous crossings into the US across its border with Mexico.  They were a problem for people in the Southwest too.   Getting control of our borders will create a safer environment for people in both areas.  Perhaps people in Minnesota and Canada will have more empathy for border states to the south having to deal with the migrants.
