U.S. Pummels Al Qaeda in Yemen, but Threat Remains

Despite tripling airstrikes this year, American officials concede an attack emanating from the chaotic, ungoverned spaces of Yemen remains among their top terrorism fears.
The group has sponsored many terrorist plots against the US.  There is no deal to be made with them.  The US will have to keep pounding them until they are annihilated.  Their bases are not secure.  Yemen is a war zone with many different factions and no central government to impose its will.
