Palestinians learn it is no longer business as usual with US

Washington Post:
U.S. threat to close PLO office puts peace at risk, Palestinian president says

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he was “deeply surprised” by a U.S. threat to close the Palestine Liberation Organization’s office in Washington unless it enters direct peace negotiations with Israel.
He must not have been paying attention.  Congress passed a law before teh 2016 election that indicated the PLO office would be closed if the Palestinians attempt to go to the International Criminal Court to push their agenda against Israel.   They are already looking at losing funding if they do not negotiate in good faith with the Israelis.  The Saudis are also threatening to cut them off if they do not take the deal proposed by the Trump administration.

They should have noticed that Barack Obama was no longer in office.
