Bergdahl's desertion leaves him blundering from Taliban captivity to possible prison sentence
NY Times:
While he claims that the Army is treating him worse than the Taliban, I seriously doubt he wants to go back to live with the illiterate Islamic religious bigots. He would no longer be of value to them as a hostage which would probably mean they would just kill him this time.
Bergdahl was far from the hero that the Obama administration falsely claimed that he was. His desertion led to US casualties that should weigh against his conscience if he was one. It is a crime that led to summary executions in the past.Held by Taliban for 5 Years, Now Facing Life in a U.S. Prison
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was held captive for five years by the Taliban, and Army investigators recommended against jailing him. Now he could be sentenced to life in prison.
While he claims that the Army is treating him worse than the Taliban, I seriously doubt he wants to go back to live with the illiterate Islamic religious bigots. He would no longer be of value to them as a hostage which would probably mean they would just kill him this time.
