Judges bad ruling on Planned Parenthood in Texas

NY Times:

Judge Blocks Medicaid Cuts to Planned Parenthood in Texas

The judge ruled that the state did not support claims that the organization violated medical or ethical standards related to abortion procedures.
The judge does not have a right to order the state to pay for something it disapproves of for any reason.  That should be left to the voters and their legislature to decide what to appropriate money for. This ruling is as illogical as the Roe v. Wade case was with its penumbra law ruling.  That has to be one of the shoddiest opinions ever.  Liberals might like the result, but it is indefensible from a constitutional standpoint.
