The misguided haste to close Gitmo

Pentagon races to move inmates at Guantanamo

Dozens of detainees could be resettled by the end of 2015 as officials scramble to reduce the prison’s population before Congress attempts to derail Obama’s plan for shuttering the U.S. military facility.

This is a mistake.  We should be increasing the population at Gitmo and doing a better job of getting intelligence on the enemy's intentions not releasing these guys because the enemy does not like the place.   Since Obama has started releasing terrorist are there more or fewer Islamic terrorist fighting the US and its allies?  Clearly there are more and their reason for fighting is based on their religious bigotry toward anyone who does not accept their weird beliefs, be they Muslim, Christians or other beliefs.  Closing Gitmo is a sop to the anti war left who don't want to defend the country and to Obama's misguided political ideology.
