Critics looking for evidence to use to harm the war effort
Washington Post:
Looking for collateral damage to use as an argument against going after the enemy will only aid the enemy and mean that more non combatants are killed by the enemy. The main problem with reliance on drone strikes is not that sometimes civilians are in the line of fire, but that we give up the opportunity to capture the enemy and interrogate them so that we can prevent future attacks on civilians by them. That is not to say the US should not use the weapons, but it needs an overall strategy that will destroy the enemy's ability to make war, and decapitation strikes alone are not going to do that.U.S. government’s refusal to discuss drone attacks comes under fire
Critics want information on all drone strikes for which strong evidence exists that civilians were killed.
