Unexpected?--Obama's immigration policy invited them

An unexpected surge of children have been caught by border agents as they tried to cross into the United States.
The "Dream Act" light that Obama offered to pander to Hispanic voters was an invitation for Mexicans to send their kids across the border.  Just like the Reagan amnesty resulted in millions of more illegals coming to this country, this policy is going to invite people under the age of 30 over the border to claim they have been here all along and the DHS under Obama will not let agents even investigate whether their stories are true.

The only people who are probably surprised or the liberals who support Obama's open borders light policy. If ICE had some leaders who were interested in the rule of law rather than sexual taunts perhaps they could have warned the administration what a mistake Obama was making.  But he got the leadership he wanted and they appear to be compliant with his misguided policies.

The story with the photo appears to be an empathy play with a cute young girl holding a doll and smiling.  The fact is that empathy want solve this problem and it only invites more trouble for these kids and for legitimate immigrants who play by the rules, but see their efforts displaced by those who jump the queue.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
