I don't buy this theory. The Romney-Ryan nomination is a reflection that the conservatism that dominates southern politics is finding acceptance beyond the region. I see little chance that the South is willing to accept the failed policies of liberalism that have brought ruin to blue states like California, Illinois and New York.
