Pronoun cops coming for Texans

Texas is still 'red', but our big cities are still very 'blue', at least as far as their policies.

The latest: All city employees in Dallas now must use preferred pronouns, or else they face the risk of being fired. A subject that fired up, Houston City Council member Michael Kubosh.

"Why do we need these things? I personally don't believe that we do" Kubosh said, "I just call people what they want me to call them, but on the other hand, I don't want to be forced into playing the gender transition game."

Unfortunately, it's a game that will soon be headed here to Houston.

"I was told that the mayor will bringing this up again" Kubosh told KTRH, "He promised the LGBTQ+ community that he was going to do it when he ran the first time, and now he has less than 6 months or so left on his term, and so I'm pretty sure something is coming down the pipe pretty soon."

That will most likely be a city approved charter amendment, that would be on the ballot in November.

 Pronouns are part of basic grammar and we do not need the confusion of dealing with people who think they need different ones.  Those who insist on weird pronouns make themselves sound like weirdos.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
