US draw down already leading to fresh Taliban attacks

NY Times:

Taliban Mount Major Assault in Volatile Afghan Region

The group has attacked police outposts and government facilities in several districts of northern Helmand Province, sending the police and military officials scrambling to shore up defenses.
This is the region that US Marines and British troops tamed during the earlier surge.

The attacks are a reflection of Obama's lack of strategic patients and his eagerness for retreat.  The Karzai government has also contributed to the desire for retreat among Americans.  I think we are likely to see a repeat of the current fiasco in Iraq because of Obama's lack of leadership.
