The UN voted to exempt the US from prosecution by the International Criminal Court.
"Defying US pressure, France, Germany and Syria yesterday abstained from voting on a Security Council resolution exempting American and other UN peacekeepers from prosecution by the International Criminal Court, placing new strains on efforts to restore unity after the Iraq con-flict...."
These guys could avoid this problem if they put some tough measures to prevent frivolous litigation being brought to harrass the US similar to the ridicuous suit brought against Tommy Franks over the war in Iraq in a Belgium court while bodies in mass graves are still being uncovered. Is there anything more insane and likely to bring discredit on the court than suing the liberator and not even mentioning the murderous despot responsible for over 300,000 Iraqi deaths, not to mentions the hundreds of thousands more lost in his wars.
If the "international community" wants respect for its "International Criminal Court" it has to do something about the frivolous litigations brought by left wing advocacy groups while the real perpetrators of genocide are never charged.
