Bad news for Biden as immigration becomes top issue

 The Hill:

More voters pointed to immigration than to inflation as a top policy concern in January, according to a Harvard CAPS-Harris poll released Monday.

The survey found that 35 percent of respondents listed immigration as their paramount concern among an array of issues, with inflation in a close second, named by 32 percent of respondents.

Immigration skyrocketed as an issue, jumping 7 percentage points in the list compared to the previous month’s poll.

Immigration and inflation were followed by “economy and jobs,” listed as a top concern by 25 percent of those surveyed, while “crime and drugs” and health care were each listed by 16 percent of respondents, the deficit and national security each by 14 percent of respondents and corruption and the environment were each named by 13 percent of people surveyed.

The money left by the migrants trying to get across the border wall from Mexico into the U.S. to criminal organizations that are charging to guide them across, extorting them or kidnapping them is creating a multimillion-dollar illegal business. Now the different criminal organizations operating across the border are fighting to death for a piece of the pie.

From small towns like Sonoyta, across the border from Lukeville, Arizona, to entire cities like Ciudad Juárez, across the river from El Paso, Texas, different cartels are killing each other and challenging Mexican authorities to gain control of the smuggling routes.

Biden admits the border crisis he created is real — but won’t accept any blame

It’s no coincidence that the president has started talking tough on the border straight after Donald Trump’s thumping victory in Iowa, where concerns about illegal migration were on every caucusgoer’s lips.

After flinging open the border and inviting in 8 million-plus illegal aliens, Joe Biden belatedly has woken up to the electoral kryptonite and admitted the border crisis.

“No, it’s not,” he said when asked by a reporter whether the border was secure. “I haven’t believed that for the last 10 years, and I’ve said it for the last 10 years. Give me the money.”

Biden is playing a sly political game, trying to blame Republicans for the border chaos he created.

But it doesn’t take money or bipartisan amnesty deals to halt the border invasion.

It takes an executive order reinstating Trump’s border protections that Biden dismantled on day one.

That’s why millions of illegal migrants are flooding into the country. He invited them in.
