Voters see Biden's ineptitude

 CBS News:

For months before the first debate, the nation's voters repeatedly expressed doubts over whether President Biden had the cognitive health enough to serve.

Today, those doubts have grown even more: now at nearly three-quarters of the electorate, and now including many within his own party.

And today, after the debate with former President Trump, an increased number of voters, including many Democrats, don't think Mr. Biden should be running for president at all. Nearly half his party doesn't think he should now be the nominee.

Given that, today nearly three in four voters also don't think Mr. Biden should be running for president in the first place. That's a higher-percentage sentiment than in February, when almost two-thirds said he should not run.

I suspect the Democrats don't think they have a better candidate at this time, which actually tells you something about the decline of the party.

 Democratic donors, lawmakers, and other bigwigs are freaking out. However, the Biden campaign is still trotting out the ‘don’t believe your lying eyes’ line, and it’s insulting to the American voter, especially to supporters of the president—all of whom know that Biden got steamrolled. The talk about replacing Biden on the ticket has reached a fever pitch, but I doubt this will happen. There’s no time realistically; Democrats are stuck with Drool McCool, and this latest email captured those sentiments along with it being a Chernobyl-style meltdown. There’s no other way to interpret it: this operation is melting down.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
