The demise of the Dems

It shouldn't come as any surprise to anyone who isn't out once a month howling at the full moon that there is good reason for this crash in approval ratings. The Democrats have embraced to the party's bosom every wackadoodle cause to come down the pike since about 2008. Dudes in women's sports, surgical and chemical mutilation of kids, replacing cops with social workers, throwing the borders open to all and sundry while refusing to even attempt to enforce immigration laws - none of these stances poll well with people who have enough sense to pound sand.

Democrats, these days, don't seem to care about sense, common or otherwise. One would think polls like this, from CNN, a network that is usually reliable in carrying water for the left - you would think that would alarm them, maybe make them take a hard look at their policy positions.

Of course, it's better for the country if they continue to double down on crazy.

I am old enough to remember when Democrats were not this crazy.  Jimmy Carter is looking like one of the last of the Dems who was somewhat normal.  While his presidency was problematic at times, Carter was not crazy.
