Biden's open border impacted Texas ranchers

 Daily Signal:

When Martin Wall and his wife bought a ranch in Eagle Pass, Texas, in 2021, they had no idea they’d spend the next four years defending their property from the Biden administration’s illegal immigration crisis.

Wall achieved his dream of purchasing a ranch and raising his children there. But the day now-former President Joe Biden came into office, it was like he “turned on” the flow of illegal immigrants, Wall said in a video produced by American Border Story, a conservative nonprofit highlighting the human impact of the border crisis.

The video comes as Biden’s successor, Donald Trump, continues to push for passage of the big, beautiful bill, which would provide full funding for the president’s border security agenda.

Members of the Wall family felt like they lived in the Wild West, as illegal immigrants from all over the world, many with criminal records, broke into their home, damaged their fences, and stole their personal items, and Border Patrol did nothing to stop it, Wall said in the video, obtained by The Daily Signal.

“It was pretty empty feeling when your wife couldn’t feel safe in your own home that you just bought,” Wall said.

He said he was most afraid his daughter would get assaulted due to encountering hundreds of migrant girls who had been raped by multiple migrant men.

“I wouldn’t have my kids be a prisoner in their own home, so I still let them go around the ranch and be kids and act like kids, but I had to send my daughter out with a pistol, and my son, he couldn’t go ride his bike.”

But the day Trump took office, the crisis was over, Wall said.
...

I grew up 20 miles from the border, but it was a much safer place then than it was under Biden.  Biden may have thought that he was importing Democrat voters, but that is not what border residents were experiencing.   Trump has proved that the border can be secured, and it does not take additional funding of billions to do so.
