FBI steps up arrest after Trump election
The FBI arrested 62% more “violent criminals” in the first four months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024 following President Donald Trump’s return to office, Deputy Director Dan Bongino said Thursday.
Trump’s FBI has arrested 14,000 violent suspects, including cartel leaders, child predators and anti-deportation rioters, Bongino announced in a Thursday X post. The former conservative media host celebrated the numbers as indicative of a return to proper FBI priorities after the Biden administration frequently launched politically-charged criminal probes. While I am not a Catholic, I had several friends who were when I was growing up near the border with Mexico. I found most of them to be patriotic Americans who volunteered for service in the US armed forces. Mexico is a predominantly Catholic country, but it also has more than its share of criminals who associate with the cartels.
Bongino and Trump have significantly closed the border to illegal immigrants. The illegal crossings have dropped from the millions under Biden to a handful under Trump.
